and we're back with our second episode! thanks to everyone who tuned in to episode 1- it was super fun to hear everyone's reactions and discussions and see how many people it reached. keep spreading the theatre love!
i sat down one evening in december with the lovely emily sharp to discuss her chicago theatre experience thus far. emily grew up just outside of chicago and spent her time seeing shows in the city when she could and working at the children's theatre of western springs (where she still helps weekly!) which led her to the theatre scene here. she recently graduated with her speech pathology degree, her thesis based on speech disorders and how theatre games can help them. its literally a book. she wrote a book. this woman is basically a superhero.
check out the soundcloud link above to hear my time with emily. if you don't know her- you should. she's an actress, director, stage manager and comedian and a hell of a chick. enjoy!
episode stats:
who: emily sharp
where: logan square
episode length: one hour, twenty-six minutes
what we were drinking: underwood pinot noir, 2013
sampling topics: game(s) of thrones, childrens theatre of western springs, too much light makes the baby go blind, chicago mammals, speech pathology, acting under an alias.
